Duke University

Duke University in Durham,custom bobblehead, North Carolina is both a respected institution for learning and research, as well as one of the leading athletic institutions in the United States. Duke competes strongly in a number of different sports, though the school is widely known for their men�s basketball program, which consistently produces NBA quality players, and challenges for regional and national championships on a consistent basis.

They boast a particularly strong rivalry with the University of North Carolina, particularly in men�s basketball, so much so that the rivalry has been the topic of multiple books, and was ranked the third greatest North American sports rivalry. North Carolina leads the all time series in men�s basketball 130 97. They also have a long standing rivalry in men�s football,., though this has not been as prominent of late as Duke has failed to field competitive football teams for some time. North Carolina has won 18 of the last 19 meetings between the two on the gridiron, with the series relatively even before that point.

Their school name, The Blue Devils, comes from the French �les Diables Blues�E named after one of their most mountain infantry divisions which successfully fought in the French Alps during the First World War. The Blue Devils mascot is based more on the name as it is, than what it�s based on, being literally a blue devil with horns and a long goatee.

Duke has spawned a number of successful amateur and professional athletes. A number of Olympic gold medal winners have come from Duke,customized bobbleheads, usually in team events. The most notable single performance was from Nancy Hogshead in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, as she won 3 gold medals and a silver medal,custom bobbleheads, all in swimming. Famous for donning blue outfits and face paint, they�re also well known for coming up with unique chants and signs that poke fun at opposition players, and even their own side.
